Monographs about historical buildings, stories of houses

Starting from existing documents (land registers, census details, civil status records, mortgage records, notaries' registers) supplemented by a site visit with you in order to evoke the memories attached to your dwelling, I can reconstruct the history of your heritage.

At the end of my work you will receive a file containing:

  • A description of the property as it relates to the local heritage, backed up by photos, allowing the property to be situated in its historical and geographical context
  • An extract from the 1:25,000 map showing the position of the property
  • A plan of the buildings
  • A descriptive document detailing the farming system where relevant, the present-day human factors, the environment and proposals for potential visits from the public
  • The genealogy of the owners
  • Notarised deeds (marriage contracts, wills) signed by the owner
  • A census of the existing inhabitant
  • A document recording anecdotal information given by the owners
  • Those land registry documents which have been found
  • Tenancy agreements and other documents relevant to the agricultural exploitation of the property
